Paris 3rd Day

Louvre

overcast

10am! Ugh! Another late start to the day. I keep trying to keep the perspective that we need the rest. Casey wanted to walk around and find a sit down place for crepes. I find myself not wanting to interact with the French in that way. I don't like not being able to communicate and I feel silly speaking French. It doesn't help that the French also make you feel silly when you try to speak it. We ended up not finding a place and instead had another picnic lunch. I don't know if many people know this, but the Louvre has a court yard with a fountain that is separate from the famous glass pyramids. We had lunch on that fountain. We then made our way into the Louvre's famous glass pyramid entrance. The Louvre is massive. I heard that if you were to take the time to read every single display description, it would take you 2 years. We saw all sorts of things from mummies to suits of armor. Statues to the Mona Lisa. We walked around for three hours just seeing the coolest things. The price we paid though, is sore feet. After the Louvre we finally found patches for our bags, then took the Metro home. Nico had to work very late, so we just rested. When he did come in, he managed to make us laugh, and then head to bed.
